WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Lead Behavior Technician (BT) plays a pivotal role in our Treatment Center by supporting the Clinical Program Coordinator for Social Skills and fostering a collaborative, educational, and therapeutic environment. The Lead BT provides mentorship to Behavior Technicians through clinical skills instruction, field training, and guidance in delivering high-quality services. This role encompasses responsibilities in classroom settings, group therapy sessions, and one-on-one client interactions, ensuring an enriching experience for clients and staff alike.
Clinical and Administration Duties
- Implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans.
- Maintain a caseload that includes classroom-based and group therapy services.
- Communicate clinical updates to the Clinical Supervisor via session notes.
- Model teaching strategies for parents to implement during and outside of therapy sessions.
- Provide case coverage for other Behavior Technicians in the Treatment Center as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and assist with Treatment Center opening/closing tasks.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, including dress code and workspace protocols.
- Assist with administrative duties such as managing cleaning supplies, client stimuli, and materials.
- Foster a positive, safe, and supportive work environment.
Mentorship and Training
- Provide ongoing clinical overlaps in the Treatment Center.
- Facilitate and administer seasonal camps.
- Coordinate/Assist with shadow sessions during "meet and greet" with new Behavior Technicians.
- Provide walk-thru tours of our Treatment Center for families and new Behavior Technicians.
- Attend and assist with facilitation of “update meetings” related to our Treatment Center.
- Other duties as assigned.
Social Skills
- Ensure the curriculum is followed, and escalate concerns or recommendations to management.
- Coordinate program-specific changes, client-facing programs, and activities.
- Review and approve events such as birthdays, community outings, and special events.
- Facilitate structured group therapy sessions to promote peer interaction and social skills development.
- Other duties as assigned.
